Vintage MP Military Police Jeep Daiya Japan Tin Litho Battery Operated Toy Works

  

Vintage MP Military Police Jeep made by Daiya in Japan. Measures 9 3/4" x 4" x 6 1/2 high. Battery Operated Toy uses 2 D-batteries.

Works pretty good, has bump and go action, arm goes up, gun fires with flashing red light. Front light on hood does not light and may have been replaced, black wire visible, runs from light one inch and ends.

Bump and go works for awhile then gets stuck trying to go backwards, a nudge usually all it needs to go forward again. I'm sure this is a common a. Curance and just needs an adjustment. Head is made of rubber and is in very good condition, still pliable.

Paint seems to be all original but I do question the gold stars. On the hood there is gold paint spilled next to the star. If a kid had done this he would try and wipe it up, if done at factory would they have done a better job?
