VINTAGE BATTERY OPERATED TWA DOUGLAS DC-9 AIRLINER WithBOX & LOADING TRUCK

  

The friction drive truck was also made in Japan. The friction drive does not work.

The plane measures 16" from nose to tail x 14" wing span x 5 1/2 high. Other than a very slight dent on the top of the right wing & slight paint scuffing on top of the fuselage, this plane is pristine with no other dents or scratches. The litho graphics & overall finish is clean & has brilliant colors. The box is in fair shape with a tear & a small hole on the top of the box & tears on both ends of the box. The function of this plane works well.

The 2 jet engines light up as the plane taxis, then comes to stop, opens the door, lowers the stairs, the stewardess greets & loads passengers, then the steps go back up. Unfortunately, there is only enough video space to show the door opening, the stairs coming down & the greeting stewardess & the stairs going back up. But the stop & go action, lighted engines & jet sound all work as they should.

This is a large jet airliner that is straight, clean, beautifully colored & it works great. It will be a huge addition to any serious vintage toy collection.
