Vintage Battery Operated Toy ME 795 Lion Playing Ball WithBox 1960's Red China

  

This is a large Battery Operated Early Chinese Dragon looking Lion. It measures 14" height x 14" long (end of tail) By approx. This is a very Scarce, Rare toy which comes with a hand held shaker, Original box with inserts included. The toy is clean and looks like it had very little in any playtime.

The color, fur, face, tassels look new. The fur is over a tin body. The battery box is clean. It takes 3 D Size batteries. When you turn the switch on and touch the weighted magic shaker in the chin area it walks, and the head will shake, ears and will flop with the motion - very strange looking toy. The eyes are also suppose to light up but they do not. I did not try to fix this. You turn the toy off by lightly tapping the top of the tail with the shaker. The hand held shaker has a wooden handle with bells in which one bell is missing as shown in picture. The shaker ball has some kind of weight inside which activates the toy.

The box shows you can turn the toy on and off by touching the lion in certain places with the shaker. The Original box is in good shape with some paper tape repair on the inside lid also shown in picture. It is Titled LION PLAYING BALL and has the number ME 795.

The box has some normal storage/shelf wear as shown. All the staples seem intact. This a a very rare early Chinese Toy from the 1960's complete and with the Original Box. The pictures are part of this description. If you have any questions, please ask.
