Battery Op Miss Friday Typist Secretary Tin Toy 1950's Japan Boxed Works Great

  
For your consideration is a battery operated Miss Friday The Typist tin toy from the 1950's. She comes complete in her original box and remains fully functional! Requires two "D" size batteries to operate. When switched on, Miss Friday's hands type away/move up and down, her head turns side to side reading the manuscript on the left side of the desk, the typewriter carriage continuously moves back and forth, "dings" and realistic typewriter sounds are produced. Other than a few scratches and marks, this toy is in excellent condition.

There are some touch ups to the white rim on the sides of the desk, which may very well be from the time of manufacturing. I have seen this a lot on other toys and touch ups on the assembly line were not uncommon. The sides of the desk fold down and Miss Friday's head is removable for storage inside the original box.

The box remains solid and colorful, however, does present with some overall shelf wear and a little discoloration to the cardboard on the bottom portion. There are also some tape repairs on the inside of the lid. A really nice example of this vintage tin toy!
