By: LINEMAR TOYS - 1950S. Presented with a professional TrueReplica BOX. Beautiful battery operated articulated Popeye toy for the discriminating toy collector. This is a very nice working example of a very scarce tin toy representing Popeye sitting on a spinach can.

Made by Linemar Toys of Japan in the 1950s. Check out the pictures and the video.

All original parts on this beauty. After WWII many of the cartoons depicted Popeye in a White Navy Suite.

Particular toy represents that look. There are very few toys that represent Popeye. This toy and the Bubble Plowing Popeye are the examples.

A very unique and delicate Popeye toy. The nice thing about battery toys is they are.

Articulated to do human type things. In this case Popeye waves with his right arm and hand then. Turns his head right and left while simulating smoking his lighted pipe which he raises to his mouth with the left arm. Type oil vapor is emitted from Popeye's mouth.

This is the only Popeye toy ever produced which simulates smoke coming from Popeye's mouth. That fact makes this toy unique and extremely desirable. Very few of these survive today in great condition and working.

The on/off switch is located just behind Popeye. Beautiful example of this great classic toy. Battery compartment is like new and the cover is original and fits snug. Overall looks KILLER and really is a terrific investment piece of art!
