Vintage Battery Operated Toy Robot Made in Japan 11 Near Mint Estate Find NR

  
This Made in Japan toy robot is in near mint condition cosmetically. The tin litho surface is 99+% in tact and it still has the glossy factory patina, and MADE IN JAPAN is printed on the chest plate. I doubt that it was played with very much at all. It calls for 1.5 volt batteries. I tried 2 modern D batteries, but it didn't turn on. When you roll it around the table the head turns left and right as you move it forward and backwards. The arms hang loosely at it's side. It shows no sign that it has ever been opened by the previous owner. It is approximately 11 high.
