1950's Mechanized Robot / Robby the Robot Tin Battery Operated Toy Excellent Vintage Toy with Original Box Made in Japan - see video below. Offered for sale is a completely original 1950's Mechanized Robot / Robby the Robot Tin Battery Operated Toy with its original Cardboard box. Robot measures 13 inches (33cm) tall.

Marked'MADE IN JAPAN' between the Robot's legs. The original cardboard box has beautiful artwork on all sides. The sides describe the toy and its functions, while showing Robby the Robot over the planet landscape and within his vehicle. The toy was made popular with the 1950's film'Forbidden Planet', featuring this Robby the Robot character. Fine early Japanese tin lithography/design. Please see additional photos and video of this robot in action below. We guarantee the authenticity of both the toy and box, this is not one of the newer reproductions / limited edition toys of this model.

Please see all the photos and VIDEO below. Condition: Guaranteed original 1950's toy and overall excellent plus condition. Strong colors / lithography on all sides with only very minimal play wear.

Body is still bright and glossy. Some minor wear/scuffs to the plastic dome. Robot is completely original with both black rubber hands, plastic dome, battery box doors, etc. Both battery boxes inside the legs are rust free and clean. Robot works great as shown, when the switch is flipped on his chest: piston / gears move under the plastic dome, both head antennas spin, green front lights working, as Robby walks forward.

Some red factory touchup to the feet as common with this toy. Both the top/bottom parts of the box are still structurally sound as issued, with no restoration. Makes for a beautiful display piece to add to your Japanese / Tin / Robot Toy collection. This toy/box combo would be very hard to improve upon.
