Vintage Tin B/O Douglas C-124 Globemaster by Yonezawa. Super nice and very brightly colored battery-operated Douglas C-124 Globemaster. Made by Yonezawa of Japan during the early 60's. It comes in a very colorful USAF Military Air Transport Service livery. It has a length of 18" (455 mm) and a wing of 20½"(520 mm). It has a nice sequence which consists of. Running forward with its four propellors revolving, the top light is burning. The plane comes to a halt, switching off its two outer engines and then the two inner ones; meanwhile the loading bay doors open and the loading ramp appears, carrying two military vehicles. The loading ramp retracts again, the doors close, the two inner propellors start to revolve, followed by the outer tones and the plane starts to move again, repating this sequence. Overall: the plane is in very good working condition with a clean battery compartment but with some minor paint flaws on the body and wing sections and some 3 larger spots max. 5 mm with paint loss (visible in the last compilation pic), which also shows that there is a hardly visible factory touch-up on a small part of the nose. The vertical tailplane isn't totally vertical. All in all a very nice piece for the tin airplane collector. Please don't ask us to change the "ships to" settings, because we won't. However we are only human and although we try to minimize mistakes they may exceptionally occur.
