Vintage HONG KONG Battery Operated Toy Robot ZEROID c1968 Ok Toy Co

  

An excellent quality vintage robot made in Hong Kong by the OK TOY company. Imported to the West by Ideal toys ca 1968. In good vintage condition otherwise- as shown with original hard plastic presentation case. On and off switch on back of base, rubber treads.

Each of the three regular issue Zeroids has a chopping action. Right arm is locked in upper position then left arm is brought forward and down then back up to lock. Pull down left arm and the chop action is activated. Note a few cracks to the clear Perspex cover on the case. The robot stands 17cm- almost 7 inches.

Weight with the case 200 grams approx. Battery Operated 2AA inserted in leg section, top of legs are squeezed inward to release torso. Unfortunately my AA rechargeable batteries appear to be too thick to fully insert into the legs to check operational condition.

I have noticed some of these newer AAs are thicker than the old? Note a few cracks to the clear Perspex cover on the carry case.
