1963 FRANKENSTEIN Battery Operated Robot by MARX Complete & Working

  
This listing is for a 1963 FRANKENSTEIN battery operated robot made by Marx Toys. The toy measures approximately 12 inches tall and is made of tin with a rubber head/hands and plastic remote control.

It is in excellent condition overall with some scratches and blemishes, though nothing obtrusive. Very nice Boris Karloff inspired head has 100% paint.

The rather delicate remote control (battery box) is intact and complete. The toy is fully functional--walks, bends, raises/lowers arms, opens/closes hands.

Operates using 2 "D" batteries. Note that the left hand does not seem to move much when opening/closing, with the right hand traveling most of the way. Both arms raise/lower equally well.

The monster bends and walks great--very feisty! Rare to find in this condition, especially the remote control, which is easily damaged.
