This is a true gem of a toy. Very hard to find with original box and in working condition.
The tin litho shines like new. The Snake Charmer plays his flute and Casey the cobra In and out of his basket as he should. This description has been revised as my son said he heard a lose part inside the bottom tin that the snake charmer sits on.
I installed the 2 D batteries and slide the lever to the on position. The cobra takes action going up and down as it should.
The vapor comes out after the 2nd or third cycle of the cobra going in and out o the basket. It is suppose make a squeaky noise like that of a dog toy.
I always thought was i t was an annoying noise so my son and I have came to the conclusion something came lose inside. So all actions work except the noise. Has to be an easy fix as we can hear the lose part inside the tin.
I also bought this at an estate sale in San Diego from the original owner who was moving into an assisted living community. This toy has been stored for last 4 1/2 years in a climate control non smoking environment. Just an FYI original owner also was not a smoker. There is minimal light surface scratches nothing major throughout the toy.
