1960`s HORIKAWA TIN LITHO BATTERY-OP SPACE EXPLORER ASTRONAUT ROBOT With BOX JAPAN

  
Made in Japan by Horikawa Toys, in the late 1960`s of tin and plastic construction. His head, arms and boots are plastic as is the television screen and antenna. His torso and legs are tin with lithographed dials under the TV screen as well as the still shiny bright work to his head.

Place 2 "D" batteries into his battery compartment and flip On, the On/Off. Switch and he will walk, (or shuffle, depending on the surface) with.

Rotating Antenna, Radar Catches the flight of "Apollo" on the Big Screen, and Realistic "Space" Noise. He measures about 11 inches tall without his antenna. His left leg shows a slight separation, if you look closely but is otherwise very clean, in a very clean original box. The very rare original box has some rubs and some very small bit of creasing (about 1 inch) to the lid at the corners and along the top.

There is also a price sticker to the top front. The box lid is still shiny and bright with great graphics and color. Displays well and would make an excellent addition to any Japanese robot or boxed tin toy collection. Note: Photos may show a flash reflection or color washout.
