1060's Hootin' Hollow haunted house battery operated toy by Marx Japan. This is one of the most collectible and valued vintage toys ever made. This is a very clean example with super bright colors and nice shine to the paint. Only very, very minor signs of gentle use. It has been safely stored all these years and looks amazing. This toy features many mechanical and electric functions which can be controlled by buttons on the side. A lot of fun and an amazing display piece! This toy is complete with the exception of a small tin vampire character which goes inside the front door. It is very common for these to be missing because kids want to take the vampire out and play with it. I know where very high quality replacement vampire tin pieces are available online, I can supply that info upon request. The toy looks and displays fantastic without the vampire character and is 100% complete with that one exception... And the small cat is missing its' tail.

A few of the electrical functions of the toy are not working 100% properly at the moment. All are easily repairable and the toy can be sent out for restoration of these functions. The functions that are not working 100% at the moment are: whistling wind sound, shaking roof, window shade and front door (open-close).

When these buttons are pushed the motor runs but the features don't operate as they could. Reproduction boxes are also available which really add to the value. I know of a few sources for those online if you are interested. It would make the center piece of any vintage toy collection.

Rare to find in this clean condition. Battery box is spotless too.
